We were very excited and privileged to host our second Greg Prince working stock dog hander school here at Glastonbury on 14 - 15 May.
We would like to thank our willing participants and Greg and Jan Prince for making the weekend an enjoyable success.
Nothing like a weekend of learning new training techniques and playing and talking dogs with like-minded and enthusiastic people!

We had a good trip to Rockland Spring and Emerald trials.   No major prizes, yet the dogs worked well.  Rob and his girls - RC Harlie, RC Suzie and RC Missy performed well at Emerald, all reaching the second round, and then two - Suz and Harlie making the final.  Serrano Ruff performed well in the 2015 QWCDTAI Futurity getting a 10th place with tough cattle in the final he retired with a gallant effort.  Very proud!

We at RC Pastoral hope you all had a fantastic festive break!!  We certainly did, playing with the dogs when the weather was good, for the up-coming trials in 2015, and staying indoors when the temps hit 40 and above!! - not good for man or beast.  We have had some much needed rain - not as much as some and more than others, so we are definitely not complaining about that.  Grass is finally starting to grow and green is a better colour than brown and beige.

Sorry, been slack of late with any updates to the website.  Currently we are working on a couple of new pages and pics of up and coming dogs that we are working with at present - bit excited about a couple of them, and we've nominated our entries in the 2015 Futurity in Queensland.  Motivated from the small successes we had at the trials in the last half of 2014, so bring it on.  Updates coming soon :)

Very happy with Angus' 4th and Harlie's 5th placings out of the 79 dog 3 round open trial at Emerald Ag-Grow on 8 - 10 July.  Angus 95 + 96 + 95; Harlie 97+98+90 did us proud!

We are very proud of RC Suzie in her first visit to a trial.  She placed 10th in the QWCDTAI Futurity on 6 July at Rockland Spring, south of Blackwater.  Members enter futurity dogs prior to the 1 January the preceding year.  The dogs must be less than 2 yr old on 1 July of the competing year.   Well done to Robert and Suz..  The event was won be Steve Biles with his dog Timmy.  For all results visit the QWCDTAInc website and go to the Trial Results page

These beautiful (yes I am bias) puppies have now gone to new homes.  We are very happy with their placement and wish their new owners every success with their purchases.

We are excited to welcome two new additions to RC Pastoral.
I'll Bedazzled (Q-53126) foaled 11 days early on 2 November - a beautiful palomino colt, by Docs Ambassador (Q-53594)  Mother and son doing very well.  'Sparky' is an inquisitive young lad, with a wonderful nature like his mum.

Kit Lawson (Q-54638) foaled right on time on 20 November - another colt by Docs Ambassador (Q-53594).  'Lawson' is a little beauty in every sense of the word, but we might be bias!
